By Lacey Claver, Assistant Coordinator of Student Activities
The SFA Involvement Center is excited to announce the opening of the First-Year Involvement Center, located between the two towers of Steen Hall. FYIC is available to all first-year students regardless of where they reside, providing information and resources unique to first-year experiences.
Anchoring this new center is our Peer Involvement Advising Program, which has been featured in national publications such as About Campus, ACUI Bulletin and NACA Programming. It connects first-year students with participating upperclassmen who are specifically trained to introduce advisees to involvement opportunities that suit the interests, academic programs and schedules of each individual.
The FYIC will be open from 1-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 1-4 p.m. Fridays and 3-8 p.m. Sundays. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
